Memories of Puppets and Trees (Wildcard Wednesday)

Puppet, dance with me
Pretend that we have no strings
But free will to move

Haiku Heights #37 - Puppet

There was a tree
With my initials carved in
Now a thousand miles away
If it still stands
Sometimes I think someone cut it down
Or it has rotted away
Because I wouldn't feel like this
If a testament that I was loved still stood today

Puppets and trees! You have a great sense of how to wrap up a poem- both of these boast a nice turn at the end. Enjoyed them a lot!
